Dr. Chris Betrus DPM
Dr. Betrus comes to us from the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan. During high school, he was an accomplished baseball and basketball player, but began focusing his energy towards clinical research once he began his studies at the University of Michigan. Currently, he is advancing his surgical training as the Fellow for the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute while also holding his own clinics in Libertyville and Mount Prospect.

Dr. Matthew Sorensen DPM
Dr. Sorensen is a fellowship-trained, board-certified foot & ankle surgeon. He is accomplished in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery and specializes in complex deformity, sports injury, arthroscopy and trauma of the lower extremities.

Dr. Jennifer Bernstein DPM
Dr. Jennifer Bernstein grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago, where she was a competitive figure skater with the International Skating Corporation and a member of the DuPage Figure Skating Club. After graduating from UIC in 2009, Dr. Bernstein has attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago and graduated in 2013.

Dr. Frank Bongiovanni DPM
Dr. Frank Bongiovanni was inspired to become a podiatrist by his father, who worked for the Dr. Scholl company making orthotic shoes. Today, Dr. Bongiovanni is an associate professor at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in addition to working as a practicing physician at WFAI.

Dr. Wendy Benton-Weil DPM
After getting her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Dr. Benton-Weil attended The William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. With over 20 years of experience, she has a passion for treating young athletes and for reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Lowell Weil Jr. DPM
In addition to being trained in the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Weil Jr. embodies the ethics of care that makes WFAI special. He believes that every patient’s story deserves to be heard.

Dr. Erin Klein DPM
Dr. Klein grew up in Oak Park, IL and remembers always wanting to be a physician. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute team, providing cutting edge care to patients while genuinely doing what she loves.

Scott Beisner DPT
Scott has been practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy for over twelve years since earning his degree from Clarke College in 2005. Scott joins the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute Libertyville Physical Therapy Department following managing the Athletico Libertyville clinic for four years.

Danielle Chams-Fern DPT
Danielle Chams-Fern is one of the newest additions to the WFAI team, but she comes to the practice with 24 years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy. She grew up in Lincolnwood Illinois, received her bachelor’s in kinesiology and exercise physiology, then moved to Chicago to get a BS in physical therapy in 1996.

Lauren Eisenberg DPT
Lauren Eisenberg, PT, DPT has spent the last 12 years since graduating with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis treating a large variety of orthopedic conditions. She works with diverse patient populations and treats both English and Spanish speakers.
