About Dr. Cernak
Board Certified Podiatrist
Dr. Cynthia R. Cernak graduated from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1989. She then did a residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at North Chicago VA Hospital, which led her to a stint as a surgical attending. Later, she attended post-graduate fellowships in reconstructive surgery at Doctors Hospital in Tucker, Georgia. She is board certified in podiatric surgery and podiatric orthopedics, as well as a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Surgeons and the American College of Podiatric Orthopedics.
In 2004, Dr. Cernak completed fellowship training in decompressive nerve surgery at the Dellon Institute in Baltimore, Maryland, and is a founding member of the Institute of Peripheral Nerve Surgery. She has served as an instructor in the family practice residency program in Racine, Wisconsin, and currently serves on the board of directors for the alumni association of the Rosalind-Franklin University of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Cernak lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and is very proud of her two daughters, Melissa, a History teacher at Harborside Academy High School in Kenosha, and Heather, a practicing attorney. Dr. Cernak is also delighted to be a grandmother of four.
