About Rebecca Lemke DPT
Rebecca Lemke comes to Weil Foot & Ankle Institute with over 30 years of clinical experience. She earned her clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy in May 2009 and has been an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association since obtaining her Physical Therapy license in 1984. She has spent the last 35 years in a variety of different settings, ranging from skilled nursing facilities to outpatient physical therapy clinics.
Throughout her career she has refined her skills in the MFR technique (Myofascial release). This technique uses gentle sustained pressure into myofascial connective tissue restrictions to allow the fascia to elongate, thereby eliminating pain and improving motion. Rebecca is also skilled in the application of Kinesiotape. Other areas of interest for Rebecca include wound care and strength rehabilitation for patients suffering from osteoporosis.
Outside of the clinic, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her three grandchildren. One fun fact about Rebecca is that she took up running at 50. She has completed several sprint triathlons and one Olympic triathlon to date.
