Dr. Tyler Sorensen joins Weil Foot & Ankle as a 2021 – 2022 Fellow. He is a life-long Midwesterner and is a graduate of Bethel University in St. Paul, MN where he received a bachelor’s degree in Biology.

Following completion of his undergraduate education, Dr. Sorensen enrolled in Des Moines University – College of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery and then completed a Foot & Ankle Surgical residency at Regions Hospital/HealthPartners Institute for Education & Research in St. Paul, MN. He served as the Chief Resident for the Foot & Ankle Surgical Residency program during his final year.

An avid researcher, Dr. Sorensen has received numerous awards and been published in multiple publications.

Currently, he is advancing his surgical training as the Fellow for the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute under the guidance of Dr. Lowell Weil Jr. and Dr. Matthew Sorensen, while also holding his own clinics in Libertyville and Mount Prospect.

When he isn’t working, Dr. Sorensen loves spending time with his wife and 3 kids (triplets) as well as weekends at the lake waterskiing. Dr. Sorensen also enjoys traveling, hockey, golf, and baseball.
